Senior Finance and Accounting Specialist

What we are looking for:

  • Academic degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or a related area
  • Experience in fixed asset accounting
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and international accounting standards (e.g. IFRS and/or GAAP)
  • Good knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with internal control systems and compliance frameworks would be an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with SAP
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and good command of PowerPoint
  • Very good command of English
  • Willingness to travel (typically one 2–3-day business trip to Germany per month)

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for asset accounting topics
  • Performing fixed asset accounting, managing complex asset accounting matters, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of fixed asset accounting
  • Preparing reports, analyses, and documentation for the management board, the supervisory board, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting group companies with questions related to group accounting and statutory (local GAAP) financial statements
  • Preparing group consolidation and separate financial statements
  • Coordinating and ensuring monthly reporting as well as quarterly and annual financial statement processes
  • Independently developing solution proposals for issues related to group accounting and separate financial statements
  • Conducting tests for FI-related IT systems and collaborating with Product Owners
