Payroll Specialist (German or French) Ref. No: 8315

The Payroll Specialist manages end-to-end payroll processes for the Swiss market, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The selected candidate collaborates with payroll provider, provides necessary data, and assists in conducting payroll calculations in compliance with local laws and corporate policies. It is an export position with direct reporting to the Payroll Team Leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Swiss payroll administration; knowledge of other countries' payroll systems is a plus
  • Experience in the cooperation with the payroll provider is a strong plus
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and organizational objectives
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German and/or French is preferred
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment and software packages
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex payroll queries
  • Customer oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while providing guidance to others when necessary


Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end payroll process for the Swiss market
  • Collaborate with payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Provide all necessary data to the payroll provider to facilitate the preparation of payroll
  • Assist in conducting payroll calculations, which includes social charges, income tax, holiday pay, severance compensation, and income details, ensuring alignment with local laws, corporate policies, procedures, and goals
  • Validate and analyze payroll results to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities for documentation and benefits
  • Process salary, benefits, and other payroll-related payments
  • Participate in payroll projects focused on process improvement, standardization, and digitalization
  • Maintain knowledge of labor and social security legislation to ensure compliance
  • Prepare cash forecasts and accrual calculations for financial reporting
  • Review and validate payroll journal entries, including any necessary recharges
  • Provide support and guidance to employees, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on payroll-related matters
