Asset Accounting Team Leader

For our Client, we are looking for the Candidate who will join their business center in Cracow.

Requirements:

  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
  • Solid knowledge of fixed asset accounting and related accounting processes.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Strong project management skills, ideally gained through process transition or transformation projects.
  • Very good command of German (minimum B2 level) and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong computer literacy, including advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and assume responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand, assess, and improve business processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with a flexible and proactive mindset.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key contact person and subject matter expert for Group Asset Accounting.
  • Lead and develop the Asset Accounting team, driving performance and professional growth.
  • Recruit and build the Asset Accounting team.
  • Coordinate the transition of Asset Accounting processes to Kraków, working closely with stakeholders from transferring centers/departments and the project management team.
  • Develop process documentation for transferred processes and establish effective knowledge management practices.
  • Establish efficient ways of working and a cooperation model with closing and reporting teams.
  • Manage daily Asset Accounting operations, monitor performance through relevant KPIs, and report results to management.
  • Support the development of accounting procedures, guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Ensure the implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement of the internal control system.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and process quality.
