Technical Manager (Renewable Energy) Ref. No: 7965

For our Client who has  a solid track record of delivering greenfield infrastructure projects in multiple sectors and managing them through the full development cycle we atre looking for Technical Manager (work from home)

Region: Kraków, małopolskie


Requirements:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (member of relevant professional body)
  • Willingness and ability to travel overseas
  • Understanding of and proven experience with technical support and procurement and  management for renewable energy projects, including interface with transmission, distribution and operations
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering positions
  • Experience with renewable energy technology (Solar; Wind)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Personal initiative (self-starter)
  • Experience in the development of power projects
  • Experience with Project  (or Leveraged) Finance transactions
  • Experience in technical asset valuation


Responsibilities & tasks:

  • The review and assessment of the technical feasibility of projects at early stage in the development process
  • The management of conceptual and basic engineering design of projects in above mentioned sectors
  • The preparation of requests for proposal and the management of the procurement process in accordance EGI’s internal guidelines of the construction and operation and maintenance contracts for projects in above mentioned sectors
  • Due diligence review on potential risks and liabilities with respect to technical, matters on new opportunities
  • Working side by side with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) manager to coordinate the technical and ESG aspects of projects, including providing inputs to the environmental impact assessments in accordance with the World Bank Environment Health and Safety Guidelines
  • The development, structuring, drafting and negotiations of technical sections of project documentation, including off-take agreements, feedstock agreements, construction contracts, operation and maintenance contracts
  • The selection and supervision of engineering consultants
  • The management of consultants performing owners' engineering services, including project construction supervision, inspection and commissioning
