For our client, a global FMCG company employing 25,000 people worldwide, we are looking for a Tax Accountant.

As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for comprehensive support of end-to-end processes related to direct and indirect taxes, as well as statutory reporting. You will collaborate with internal data providers and external entities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. Your work will have a real impact on finance teams and the Tax Centre of Excellence.

Requirements:

  • Solid background in direct tax and statutory reporting. Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany transactions is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Good computer skills with experience in Excel and SAP.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Critical thinking and ability to challenge existing tools and processes to drive improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and review tax data, providing timely submissions to the Tax Managed Service Provider in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Execute key processes and controls under the Tax Governance Framework to ensure accurate tax calculations and eliminate errors.
  • Maintain timely submission of all tax filing requirements with consistent disclosures, and support group tax reporting periodically.
  • Prepare statutory filings in accordance with local GAAP, including explanatory notes and disclosures.
  • Prepare, review, and approve VAT returns, EC Listings, and Intrastat reports for selected regions.
  • Support external audits, liaise with auditors, reconcile local GAAP and IFRS data, and verify the accuracy of business transaction accounting.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global projects, support ad-hoc financial analysis, and drive process improvements in compliance, quality, and efficiency.
