Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or similar area
  • Minimum 5 years of process design experience working with methanol, ammonia or hydrogen technologies
  • Expertise in syngas process design (including catalyst considerations and conceptual design) as well as plant operation
  • Good knowledge of and interest in developing new process design and layouts
  • Understands the process and/or equipment functionality well in relation to the industry and further downstream upgrading
  • Understands the detailed engineering discipline and requirements and how basic engineering output is used in the EPC phase of a project
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proactively engage in continuous development to improve efficiency and competitiveness
  • Anticipate and balance the needs of multiple external and internal stakeholders within a multicultural team
  • Relates well to customers pains and needs and provides solution for the same
  • Willing to travel globally for site, inspection and design jobs


Responsibilities:

  • Perform process simulations and develop process flowsheets, control philosophies, P&IDs, and operating manuals for priority projects in methanol, ammonia or hydrogen technologies
  • Execute engineering design of process equipment, including material selection and providing input to instrumentation design
  • Support customers during PFD and P&ID reviews, HAZOP studies, and operator training sessions
  • Provide on-site support during pre-commissioning, start-ups, test runs, and troubleshooting activities
  • Handle technical queries from clients during project execution as well as after project completion
  • Coordinate project activities with internal and external stakeholders, including process engineers, project managers, licensing managers, technology experts, and customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally during project execution, client meetings, and on-site engagements
  • Mentor, train, and coach colleagues across global locations
  • Promote and facilitate a zero-harm culture, effective knowledge sharing, and lessons learned
  • Contribute to the continuous optimization and improvement of workflows
  • Option of supporting new green synthesis gas projects such as power-to-X
