Contract & Claims Specialist Ref. No: 8609

For our Client, an international industrial company, due to the dynamic growth of its Kraków branch, we are currently seeking a Contract & Claims Specialist.

Region: Kraków, małopolskie


Requirements:

  • University degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, International Business, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in contract management, procurement, project legal support, or claim management roles, preferably within industrial sectors
  • Experience working in a project-driven environment and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Very good German would be an asset 
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of commercial law and related legal principles would be an advantage 
  • Practical experience with, or strong interest in, AI-based tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, data analytics solutions, and automation technologies would be an asset 


Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the company in protecting its interests against unjustified claims, including requests for financial compensation, contractual remedies, penalties, liquidated damages, or reimbursement of costs resulting from contractual non-compliance
  • Providing support throughout dispute resolution processes, including negotiations, mediation, and arbitration proceedings
  • Preparing comprehensive documentation and practical recommendations concerning contracts, claims, and potential risks
  • Reviewing and assessing commercial agreements, as well as supporting the amendment of contractual provisions where required
  • Overseeing contractual commitments and ensuring compliance throughout project implementation
  • Assessing risks associated with penalties, warranties, indemnities, performance securities, and liability matters
  • Identifying potential claims and developing substantiated arguments and supporting materials
