What do you need to have?

  • Min. 5 years of experience in procurement area with experience of RFPs, RFIs, RFxs
  • Knowledge of category procurement - Marketing
  • Experience of e-procurement processes and systems (Ariba) would be an asset
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills
  • Commercially astute and with a strong eye for detail
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Confidence and credibility with good communication and relationship management skills
  • Identifies and raises opportunities and/or challenges


What will you be responsible for?

The procurement team is expanding to keep up with our ambition.  This has created new roles for Senior Buyers across all the procurement categories – Marketing, IT, Property, Technology, Retail, Logistics, Corporate Services.

Based in Dyson Business Services’ new Krakow offices, this role would suit someone looking to develop their procurement careers within category management and/ or general indirect procurement. 

  • Actively participating in the development and support the execution of the overall Corporate Services category strategy to achieve or exceed agreed savings targets for the category
  • Managing competitive bidding processes using Ariba Sourcing (RFIs, RFPs, e-auctions etc)
  • Helping to develop a supply base to build the capacity and capability to deliver the business’ requirements
  • Supporting Dyson’s supplier management and corporate, social and environmental standards programmes within the supply base
  • Continually monitoring compliance across the indirect spend and driving corrective action as necessary
  • Supporting the development of dynamic, robust, forward-looking category plans based on business needs, supply market dynamics, and technological changes in marketplace
  • Supporting supplier relationship management in the classification of new suppliers to determine the most appropriate SRM treatment
  • Supporting in delivering a pipeline of projects to achieve or exceed agreed savings target for the category and keeping management appraised of issues and progress of the projects
  • Ensuring category and project data (savings, pipeline, milestones, risks, issues, taxonomy) is accurate and reflective of reality
