Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS) operates as an international organization with a worldwide  delivery structure providing business services in the areas of Finance, HR, Revenue Accounting, Management Reporting and Procurement for entire Lufthansa Group.

Krakow Center is the main hub for the delivery organization including also central functions for the group companies covering both standard as well as customized processes for airline business. Besides operations, Krakow Center has also teams specialized in Process Management, Migration Support, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement.


Requirements:

  • Academic/Master degree (Finance Accounting or Economics related field)
  • Min. 3 years of relevant professional experience (controlling/audit)
  • Experience in SSC/BPO environment will be an asset
  • Fluent English
  • German language skills will be an asset
  • SAP knowledge
  • Excellent computer literacy, especially in MS Office
  • Ability to think analytically combined with conceptual skills and attention to the business perspective
  • Statistical/mathematical literacy and a capacity for abstract thinking
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Conflict handling skills


Responsibilities:

  • Supporting in short term and long term planning of costs and revenues (forecasting and budgeting)
  • Preparing monthly forecast as well as supporting the monthly and annual closure for the company subsidiaries and different departments within the company
  • Subject-specific handling/further development of cost elements/centers/units in profit and loss account
  • Preparation and commenting of monthly reporting as well as, quarterly/annual financial statements, ad hoc reports and deviation analyses, ensuring correct bookings on accounts, preparing monthly reports
  • Enhancement of existing processes and procedures, proposals for unit-wide process optimization/modification
  • Supporting the introduction of an internal control system
  • Supporting unit-specific change processes
  • Supporting executives in its management of the unit
