Finance & Tax Reporting Specialist (DACH) Ref. No: 8449

For our Client, the company which invests and provides support and best practices to software companies, we are looking for the Candidates to join newly created Financial Center in Cracow.

We are currently seeking, for DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) a Reporting Specialist, who will support our Portfolio Companies, as well as the Finance Business Partners (FBP’s) and Record to Report (RTR) team in day-to-day reporting and analyses activities, both from a group as well as a statutory and tax perspective.

This role will not only be critical for making sure all accounting and reporting and tax activities are performed on time and of high quality as well as for the creation of good cooperation between the Finance Center (EFC), FBP’s and the Portfolio Company leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus
  • Min. 5 years of experience in German/DACH accounting, with a proven track of experience
  • Strong knowledge of German statutory rules and reporting
  • Good level of German and English languages
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex Balance Sheet and P&L data, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders


Responsibilities:

  • Support the consolidation process of the management reporting based on IFRS, including variance analyses as well as (re) forecasting and budgeting.
  • Prepare and support statutory accounts and financial reports (local GAAP), including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Perform corporate tax accounting and monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly tax reporting activities, including deferred tax calculation, statistical reporting, corporate income tax and VAT preparation and filing
  • Complete period ends close activities related to statutory and tax accounting and other financial accounting activities
  • Review accounts reconciliations, including balance sheet pack preparation and reconciliation between IFRS and local statutory accounts
  • Support internal/external audits by preparing information as and when requested
  • Collaborate with the accounting team and the Portfolio Company Leadership team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting principles and regulations
  • Execute assigned process controls and proactively report any instances of noncompliance
  • Assist in the preparation of financial models, business cases and investment appraisals for new projects and initiatives.
