Responsibilities:

The job incumbent is responsible for the management and steering of the department “IT Services Krakow” which encompasses the IT responsibility for the global center technology (systems & infrastructure), SAP (FI/CO, SRM, core, Authorizations, HR) systems, Web applications, cross domain solutions, customer support as well as business process automation. The job incumbent manages and governs sub teams providing appropriate steering structures in order to ensure the reliability of operation of the IT landscape. Additionally further development, internal IT process harmonization, standardization and automation will be processed in accordance with business requirements.

 IT Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy reflecting the business requirements in the area of responsibility
  • Develop, agree and implement the IT strategies for Global IT Infrastructure & Customer Support in alignment with the overall IT strategy
  • Manage the IT domain architecture and the respective application portfolio across the group
  • Consult global service centers for IT solutions 
  • Design and Implement Information Management processes in the area of responsibility, coordinate corrective actions where needed in alignment with the overall IT processes
  • Drive standardization of IT processes within the area of responsibility

 Information Technology Management:

  • Ensure operation and maintenance of the assigned applications and global IT infrastructure (e.g. SAP, Customer Support, Electronic Workplaces and WAN/LAN/WiFi/Skype/telephony infrastructure with around 2.000 users) according to standard ITIL processes (e.g. incident, change, vendor, escalation  management)
  • Ensure close communication to internal customers and advise business on streamlining and standardizing existing processes or introducing new ones in order to constantly improve the efficiency of business processes, contributing to the definition of business projects
  • Manage the responsibilities and tasks within the sub teams and distinct projects while keeping leadership oversight
  • Identify, analyze, evaluate, monitor and control task areas within IT Services

 Innovation:

  • Drive automation/innovation in the area of responsibility in order to ensure competitiveness and contribute to automation/innovation in other departments
  • Enable Shared Services to achieve their cost and process targets with appropriate digital IT solutions
  • Steer implementation of IT projects within the assigned area of responsibility

 Leadership:

  • Ensure that the distinct areas of responsibility are properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Secure the proper planning of capacities for all relevant tasks for the day-to-day operation as well as projects
  • Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees within the human resources policy
  • Plan and manage the routine cost and project budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
