For our Client, the company which invests and provides support and best practices to software companies, we are looking for the Candidates to join newly created Financial Center in Cracow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred
  • Min. 3-4 years of professional experience in Revenue Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and experience applying accounting standards such as IFRS 15
  • Fully communicative English (min. B2/C1)
  • Communicative knowledge of German or French will be an asset (it is not a must)
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software and systems, as well as advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with billing and invoicing processes, including understanding of billing systems and practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex revenue concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Understanding of internal controls and the ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Specialist to join our finance team. The Revenue Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recognition, recording, and reporting of revenue in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of revenue recognition principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Review sales contracts, agreements, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with revenue recognition guidelines and company policies
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to evaluate and assess revenue recognition implications of non-standard contracts and transactions
  • Analyze revenue streams, customer arrangements, and pricing structures to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, including deferred revenue, unbilled accounts receivable, and revenue accruals
  • Perform monthly revenue close activities, including revenue calculations, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of revenue and resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Participate in revenue forecasting and budgeting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on revenue analysis
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of new revenue accounting standards and policies, staying up to date with changes in accounting regulations and standards
  • Support external audit processes, including providing necessary documentation, explanations, and analysis related to revenue recognition
