Job purpose

The Senior Software Integrator Engineer is responsible for integrating software units hierarchically into Software Components until the complete software is integrated, as defined in the Project Development Plan and Product Management Plan, ensuring consistency with the software architecture.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience with software.
  • Previous experience in software engineering within one of the following areas: microcontroller programming, low-level software development for real-time embedded systems.
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, with strong knowledge of C languages and AUTOSAR.
  • Previous experience as a software build manager, software integrator, or software/system tester is a plus.
  • Experience working within a standardized software development process environment, preferably ASPICE.
  • Good knowledge English is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive integration plan/pipeline to outline the sequence of integration steps and dependencies, ensuring minimal merge conflicts and establishing a roadmap for bringing all the software solutions together for a release.
  • Work closely with the software team to ensure components are developed in accordance with the software integration strategy.
  • Own the development branch. Create the release branches and be responsible for bringing the changes from the development branch to the release branch, and perform integration to the master branch when ready.
  • Collaborate with the Software Development Lead and other project leadership to ensure that internal and external software deliveries meet project milestones.
  • Support and guide Software Developer Engineers to resolve merge conflicts.
  • Use AUTOSAR tools to regenerate code after integration where and when necessary.
  • Perform CPU utilization tests (if requested) to identify the CPU runtime, RAM, and ROM consumptions and their corresponding trends across releases. Create defect tickets and inform the stakeholders when necessary.
  • Participate in the code review process to be aware of code changes in case of any integration conflicts.
  • Run the Smoke/Sanity/Motor Control tests on the appropriate test bench (LV SW bench/Motorsim bench) for sanity checks before delivering to Integration Regression Testing. Create, maintain, and improve Smoke/Sanity/Motor Control tests based on the content of the release.
  • Investigate, debug, and troubleshoot any issues that might occur during or after software integration, and work with the module owner to bring the issue to resolution.
  • Establish and maintain integration configuration process documentation to ensure project execution discipline.
  • Identify and implement methods/scripts to enhance the integration process.
