Requirements:

  • Project Procurement experience from companies within complex, technical global environments- such as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies or the oil&gas sector or similar
  • Deep knowledge of complex sourcing, category management, defining negotiation strategies, negotiations executions and supplier performance across project lifecycles
  • Relevant commercial as well as technical background, or as a minimum, technical flair, is required
  • Experience in managing multi-cultural teams globally
  • Proven experience in change management, driving organizational improvements and procurement transformation initiatives
  • Deep experience with systems and analytics to drive opportunity and risk management, including tools like should-costing
  • Proficiency in SAP, procurement systems, and advanced Excel/analytics tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management skills and strong commercial mindset
  • Displays a can-do attitude
  • Open and honest communication


Responsibilities:

  • Drive procurement performance across both sales and execution phases, ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while proactively managing risks
  • Define negotiation strategies and support their execution during high-value or complex negotiations, ensure strong commercial outcomes through effective contract management and supplier engagement
  • Partner with Category Managers and overall Global Procurement on supplier selection and sourcing strategy
  • Build and manage the global Procurement team, either as direct reports or through local Team Leads/Procurement Leads
  • Coach the team in planning and execution negotiation strategies, stakeholder management
  • Ensure delivery of targets and KPIs through clear governance, performance follow-up, and project pipeline visibility
  • Establish and maintain robust risk management practices and structured project reviews across the portfolio
  • Drive earlier involvement of procurement in project phases in order to have a more prominent and proactive role within the project execution
  • Actively develop and implement improvement initiatives within the team
  • Discuss and negotiate General conditions of purchasing, including project specific requirements, drive saving opportunities within project negotiation
