Senior Procurement Manager Ref. No: 8590

For our international client based in Cracow, we are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Senior Procurement Manager.

Region: Kraków, małopolskie

Requirements:

  • Project Procurement experience from companies with a global footprint, operating and sourcing globally
  • Strong knowledge and experience in sourcing complex technical solutions
  • Extensive experience with Category Management, planning and execution of negotiations
  • Relevant commercial as well as technical background, or as a minimum, technical flair, is required
  • Experience in managing multi-cultural teams globally
  • Proven experience in change management, driving organizational improvements and procurement transformation initiatives
  • Proficiency in SAP, procurement systems, and advanced Excel/analytics tools
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management skills and strong commercial mindset
  • Displays a can-do attitude
  • Open and honest communication

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the global Procurement team, either as direct reports or through local Team Leads
  • Drive and manage the procure to pay process as per company’s standards in customer projects
  • Being the main contact person towards a global supplier base daily
  • Ensure timely delivery in accordance with required and agreed delivery dates and schedules
  • Partner with Category Managers and overall Global Procurement on supplier selection and sourcing strategy
  • Monitor, manage and report on progress for agreed key performance indicators
  • Driving earlier involvement of procurement in project phases in order to have a more prominent and proactive role within the project execution
  • Actively develop and implement improvement initiatives within the team
  • Drives and support operational and tactical procurement activities both in the sales and execution phase for the projects, to meet requirements regarding cost, time, and quality (incl. risks).
  • Develop targets for project negotiations, plan and execute negotiations
  • Discuss and negotiate General conditions of purchasing, including project specific requirements, drive saving opportunities within project negotiation
  • Coach the team in planning and execution negotiation strategies, stakeholder management
