Senior HR Operations & Workday Specialist / HR Ops & Workday Expert Ref. No: 8632

On behalf of our Client, a leading global home appliances and consumer electronics brand, we are looking for a Senior HR Operations & Workday Specialist to support the build and implementation of their newly established Europe HR Shared Service Center (SSC). This is a high-leverage, individual-contributor role for a proactive professional who would like to be a part of this exciting build-phase. If you combine a strong background in HR Operations with practical Workday experience and a hands-on approach to transformation execution, this is a unique opportunity to shape a regional Center of Excellence from the ground up!

Region: Łódź, łódzkie

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience (min. 5-8 years) in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR service delivery in a complex corporate environment.
  • Practical Workday experience beyond basic end-user exposure (ability to understand HR process design, requirements, and system dependencies).
  • Experience documenting and improving HR processes (process flows, hand-offs, ownership, and controls).
  • Experience supporting transitions, transformations, service migrations, or comparable change initiatives.
  • Ability to manage several priorities independently, create structure from incomplete information, and deliver with limited supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills in a matrix, multi-country environment.
  • Good project coordination discipline (action tracking, dependency management, issue follow-up, and documentation quality).
  • Professional English (B2/C1) sufficient to work effectively with European and global stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with modern digital tools and AI technologies, including through personal, non-commercial projects.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience in an HR SSC build/expansion, payroll operations/interfaces, or working as a Workday functional analyst/HRIS specialist.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations & process design: Design, standardize and improve HR Operations processes for the European HR Shared Service Center. Analyze current processes, identify gaps and dependencies, define ownership and hand-offs, and create clear process documentation and transition materials.
  • Workday  & payroll integration: Translate HR business requirements into practical Workday-enabled processes and provide functional input to Workday design and implementation activities. Work closely with HRIS, payroll and other stakeholders on requirements, testing, issue resolution and readiness, including payroll-related interfaces and integrations.
  • Transition & knowledge transfer: Support transition of HR processes from local teams and entities into the European SSC. Help structure knowledge transfer, capture country-specific requirements and ensure documentation, readiness, open points, dependencies and actions are in place for a smooth transition.
  • Project & stakeholder coordination: Coordinate follow-ups across multiple HR workstreams across European countries, tracking deliverables, actions, risks and dependencies. Work closely with HR Operations, HRIS, payroll, country stakeholders and external partners to clarify requirements, resolve issues and keep activities moving forward.
  • Internal capability building: Build and retain internal HR Operations and Workday-related knowledge to reduce reliance on external consultants. Challenge, structure and translate external recommendations and deliverables into practical internal solutions, documentation and ways of working. Help establish a scalable, well-documented and sustainable operating model for the future European HR SSC.

We offer:

  • A key role in establishing a new European HR SSC from the ground up.

  • The opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment with cross-regional collaboration.

  • A hybrid work model, offering flexibility to work both from the office and remotely.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

  • The opportunity to use modern digital tools and AI technologies.

  • The chance to make a significant impact on HR operations and employee experience across Europe.
