Senior Global Category Manager (Property and FM) Ref. No: 7525

Role specific Skills & attributes

  • Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience of working Globally within large scale property builds – including Capital projects: examples being: Industrial production facilities, Head offices and large Campus builds.
  • Must have significant experience of working with subcontracted 3rd party services to include Architects, surveyors and PMO organisations.
  • Must have 7 years’ experience or working with FM services (both hard and soft) on a national and international scale.
  • Must have project management experience and the ability to Lead cross matrix teams as required.
  • Must have experience of negotiating complex, high value contracts e.g. contracts over £25m.
  • Significant experience of the use of on-line Tendering tools (like Ariba) to run the end-to-end tender process.
  • Must have the ability to work with all procurement category’s (e.g. IT and Logistics) as required, to support the wider Indirect Procurement team
  • Be prepared to travel nationally and internationally as required (restrictions permitting)
  • Optional but advantageous: experience of delivering procurement elements of Global Flagship retail stores on time and within budget

  • Develop & lead category plans that are aligned to Global strategy, working cross functionally with regional and international stakeholders
  • Must have the ability to influence and lead the businesses through strong stakeholder and relationship management.
  • Must possess excellent communication & presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior level stakeholders up to Board level
  • Must be fluent in English (with a second language desirable)
  • Be a highly driven self-starter; having the ability to solve problems whilst working autonomously and as part of a small team
  • Must have advanced negotiation skills, developed over several years at a senior level
  • Demonstrate a positive solution driven approach, that inspires confidence when faced with uncertainty and change.
  • Bringing your “best game” every day and understanding what motivates you. Inspiring others, providing drive, energy and engagement
  • The ability to establish a reputation for successful delivery that promotes the credibility of the Procurement “Brand” internally and externally
