Experience / Personal Qualities:

  • BA/BS or MS in Accounting required, CPA or MBA preferred
  • A proven leader that has 7 or more years of experience in similar role in other organization
  • Proven track record of owning global RTR transformation agenda, re-design of RTR processes, technologies and ways of working, as well as leading implementation of change across the organisation
  • Comfortable working with, challenging and influencing senior leadership
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting, reporting and analysis, acquired through related work experience in increasingly complex roles
  • Understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Capable of directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems while applying advanced analytical thought and judgment
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification a plus
  • Ability to analyse financial and operating statistics, performance measures and benchmarks to provide meaningful feedback
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, working in a fast-paced team environment with high volume activities and changing priorities


About The Role:

The Global Process Owner - Record-To-Report role offers an excellent opportunity to help shape and drive our Finance organization to the next level. It is a highly visible position working with many functions in the organization and designing processes that will be implemented across the globe.

This role will provide strategic and business leadership to build and lead the Record-to-Report GBS organization and process transformation. The goals of the transformation is to design processes with adequate controls that are scalable and efficient to support the future business growth of our organization.

In addition, this position is accountable for internal and external reporting is in compliance with IFRS, that the processes operate with effective internal controls and that all reporting deadlines and requirements are met.

The Global Process Owner – Record-To-Repot will be responsible for:

 Process design, Performance and Governance

  • Lead the design and execution of a global strategy for the Record-To-Report processes, including associated policies and technologies
  • Review existing processes, structures, and systems with a focus on simplifying and standardizing them and setting up KPIs and success criteria
  • Drive process transformation with a focus on reducing process costs and maximizing investment returns
  • Assess opportunities for service improvement and/or expansion against business objectives and determine means to implement new and innovative technical and process based solutions.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with delivery teams to ensure they bring value to GBS through efficient and simple RTR processes
  • Benchmark shared services organization against other companies and stay abreast of process trends and leading practices to formulate strategic direction and drive continuous process improvements
  • Ensure governance structure is effective and aligned with stakeholders
  • Improve internal control environment to more efficiently monitor transaction risk and financial exposure

Transition of processes 

  • Participate in detail design of processes to be transitioned to the centre
  • Ensure that processes transitioned are in line with design of RTR blueprint for processes, technology and ways of working

Leadership, Relationships and Strategy

  •  Actively engage and lead stakeholders to embrace and adopt the globally standardized processes, with regional and local requirements customization required for legal/tax compliance
  • Engage and influence stakeholders from a culturally diverse background to achieve established KPIs
  • Benchmark shared services organization and RTR processes against other companies and stay abreast of process trends and leading practices to formulate strategic direction and drive continuous process improvements
  • Ensure collaboration with other Centres globally and partners
  • Work with Finance Centres of Excellence to ensure understanding of global policies, requirements and practices led by the Group
