For our Client, a leading global retail company, we are hiring IT Specialists for their Cracow business center.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Online Systems / Web Application / Operations Support / Software Development role
  • ITIL Foundations preferred
  • MSSQL experience and T-SQL query language
  • A working understanding of PowerShell or equivalent scripting language
  • A working understanding of Windows server environment management
  • Knowledge of Networking and Communications
  • A working understanding of Deployment Pipelines with multi endpoint agents
  • A working understanding of GITs and Repo use
  • Experience with APM Monitoring, alerting and dashboarding
  • Strong grasp of Automation toolsets
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT Operations in an always-up, always available services
  • Exposure to Microsoft IIS Server 7.0 and above
  • Exposure to Microsoft Server Operating System and services
  • Microsoft software development technologies - .NET
  • Exposure to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices
  • Driven Individual, positive attitude and ability to self-learn


Responsibilities:

As a Systems Operations Engineer you will be tasked with delivering software and application stability, driving and maintaining a n-1 version parity for our retail commerce platform globally.

You will work closely with Engineering and Infrastructure teams. This role will drive global unity, uplift and adoption across all regions aligning best practice and delivering automation and monitoring ensuring they meet the key requirements of Store trade and availability.

This role is critical in maintaining the quality and availability of our production retail commerce solutions that guide the success and profitability of the Group.

  • Identify the root cause of problems before they have a major impact upon business process and communicate these with relevant stakeholders for resolution
  • Reduce the reliance on manual intervention for tasks via creation of tools and automation scripting
  • Actively participate in our left shifting strategy via new tools, automations, processes, and self-service functions to empower business units and other IT Teams
  • Delivery of stable and performant applications and cloud operations practices
  • Provide effective monitoring of the commerce platform and internal applications
  • Be actively involved in developing and optimising processes to create efficiencies in daily BAU activities
  • Reporting on key technology platform metrics to management
  • Ensure training materials and technical documentation on new and/or existing features are kept up to date
  • Cross train peers, provide guides and technical documentation for other support teams
  • Perform daily application releases to both online and internal systems with clear communication to stakeholders on status of changes
