Over 4 years ago Kingfisher opened a Finance Shared Service Centre in Krakow, to which we are looking for candidates for the position below.

What is the role about?

The PMO Manager role is a key member of the GBS Project Centre of Excellence, which provides a strong project and programme capability to the organisation. The PMO Manager will play an active role in developing and maturing the function in accordance with best practice, but also support project delivery activity across the CoE and the Group Finance Change function.

Requirements

  • Strong project and PMO experience and capability 
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a complex matrix management environment where roles and responsibilities are changing both as a direct result of own programme but also other change programmes
  • Experience at working to and meeting challenging deadlines through own effort and through the buy in of the delivery teams
  • Experience at creatively identifying and addressing blockers to delivery through listening to all parties’ perspectives and agreeing practical solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
  • Comfortable working in a distributed, remote-first environment
  • Ability to identify trends in data and produce high-quality, insightful reporting to drive decision making
  • Effective communication at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly and cope calmly with changing priorities
  • Self-motivation and self-sufficiency


Responsibilities

  • Supporting programme team with project management
  • Proactively engaging stakeholders through clear communication, managing their understanding and involvement, delivering results through others
  • Actively demonstrating focus on business requirements and understanding of the end-to-end process
  • Together with the project team ensuring delivery of project objectives
  • Ensuring project documentation is robust and in place
  • Project delivery standardisation and best practice, working with the CoE Manager to further develop the function
  • Developing and owning tools, templates, and systems to support successful project delivery
  • Defining project lifecycle and deliver methodologies and ensuring they are applied consistently and correctly
  • Supporting project and programme governance and assuring their quality
  • Providing clear, concise, and insightful reporting across the portfolio
  • Developing positive relationships with PMs and other stakeholders
  • Traveling to our Operating Companies in the UK, France, Poland, Romania will be required from time to time
