Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of related engineering work experience in an industrial environment.
Strong understanding of V-Cycle process development and experience applying it to mechanical engineering components in product development environments.
Proven ability to work with and implement Stage-Gate models within mechanical engineering projects, ensuring clear milestones and deliverables.
Tailoring the Product Development Process (PDP): Adapt and tailor the existing PDP to meet the specific needs of mechanical development for eDrive products, ensuring alignment with project-specific goals and performance criteria.
V-Cycle Process Development: Develop and implement the V-Cycle process for Mechanical Engineering Components (MEC), ensuring that all mechanical development stages—from concept through verification and validation—are clearly defined, efficient, and in line with project objectives.
Stage-Gate Model Integration: Ensure the mechanical development process aligns with the broader Stage-Gate Model, defining clear milestones, criteria, and deliverables at each stage to facilitate smooth progression.
Work Product Template Customization: Customize, review, and release work product templates specific to eDrive systems, ensuring consistency and clarity throughout the mechanical development lifecycle.
Role Definition and Clarification: Define and refine roles within the mechanical development process, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability across the team, tailored to the needs of eDrive product development.
Workflow Guideline Creation and Editing: Create, edit, and update detailed workflow guidelines that provide clear instructions for each step of the mechanical development process, with a focus on the specific requirements of eDrive products.
Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with global engineering teams to refine workflows, templates, and processes for mechanical development, ensuring standardization and effective collaboration across regions and projects.
Process Adjustment for eDrive Systems: Continuously refine and optimize the mechanical development process to meet the specific requirements of eDrive products, ensuring process relevance and efficiency.
Implement and Roll Out the eDrive EDF: Support the implementation and roll-out of the tailored eDrive Engineering Development Framework (EDF), ensuring its successful adoption by teams working on mechanical development.
Training and Knowledge Transfer: Take responsibility for training and coaching team members on the tailored mechanical development process, including the V-Cycle, Stage-Gate Model, and eDrive EDF, to ensure all teams are fully prepared to follow the new process.
Process Review and Alignment: Regularly review the tailored PDP and V-Cycle to ensure alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and integration with other engineering disciplines.
Gate Review Support: Support Stage-Gate reviews by ensuring all tailored process guidelines are followed and that mechanical deliverables meet predefined criteria before advancing through the development stages.
