What do you need to have?

  • Strong background in Payroll service delivery and Finance/HR shared services experience (consulting or previous leadership position) for a large, complex, and global company
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, and managing payroll teams - to successfully execute the Payroll services mission
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain operational processes, communicate updates to teams, and ensure they follow the new process or procedure
  • Ability to provide the vision and direction with a defined long-range plan for Payroll Service delivery
  • Awareness of the latest developments, trends, and best practices for Payroll process and policies
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of ERP Payroll and Time & Attendance modules/platforms
  • Advanced knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Office, Skype, Zoom, email, etc.)
  • High degree of integrity, confidence and self-awareness with ability to appreciate, understand and effectively negotiate within and across other cultures
  • Strong communication skills

  • Energetic and assertiveness; personality with strength in remaining goal focused; persistence to produce the highest quality of work

What will you be responsible for?

The Global Payroll Manager provides process and service excellence to support payroll services over time to meet the changing needs of the business.

The Global Payroll Manager must be a strong and proactive business leader with a transformational mindset who has deep experience in building and expanding global delivery centres for multi-disciplinary payroll and expenses services. This leader should champion end-to-end Payroll process optimization, integrate related Finance and HR processes into a global operational network, empower service providers, and establish accountability across the organisation.

As a result, this role delivers transformative performance improvements, consistent levels of service that meet or exceed requirements, and cost savings. Success in this role enables enterprise agility, increases the effectiveness of services delivered, provides a better employee experience, and meets or exceeds cost-reduction targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Being accountable for Payroll services, customer experience, and performance
  • Developing and implementing long-term strategies for Payroll services in line with broader Finance and overall Employee Service goals while being flexible to accommodate changing business needs
  • Cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing effective relationships with the Corporate Finance, People function and business units to understand current and future business needs
  • Establishing and maintaining a strategic relationship with external Finance and People functions and providers to align on key dependencies and service consumption choices
  • Utilizing reporting & analytics tools to manage Payroll and Time & Attendance, and expensing reporting SLAs, KPIs, and metrics to meet reporting requirements, gain operational insights, and propose solutions or corrective actions
  • Managing teams to deliver outcomes according to SLAs
  • Coaching and motivating diverse and highly skilled team members to optimise team effectiveness and enhance team interactions, creating exceptional employee experiences
  • Conducting team performance evaluations, assessed against industry standards of speed and cost
  • Ensuring compliance through frequent monitoring and emphasis on accuracy and adherence to policies, procedures and regulations
  • Fostering a “customer service” focus and culture throughout the Payroll service delivery and being viewed as a change leader within the Employee Services  organization
  • Presenting to senior leadership on issues related to Payroll and Time & Attendance and meet with Corporate Finance and People function to resolve potential issues as needed
