GL Accountant

For our Client - international company - we are looking for candidates for a position of GL Accountant. 

Region: Kraków, małopolskie

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor/Master degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Min. 2 years of professional experience in accounting
  • Expertise of General Ledger area including Reporting
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements and controls
  • Very good English skills
  • Experience with accounting systems (Oracle R12 preferred)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel
  • Very good teamwork skills and positive, proactive attitude
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving mindset
  • ACCA course (completed or in progress) will be an asset

You will be responsible for:

  • Balance sheet account reconciliations preparation and review
  • Supporting period end activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and accruals
  • Dealing with intercompany and transfer pricing processes
  • VAT/GST/HST reconciliations preparation and review
  • US & EU entities tax package preparation and review
  • Providing support for internal and external audits
  • Performing financial statement reviews, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting requirements, internal controls
  • Fixed Assets accounting
  • Implementation of new solutions and tools
  • Taking part in accounting process transition
