Financial Audit Analyst - project contract Ref. No: 8446

For our client, an international organization operating in a dynamic and fast-growing IT environment, we are currently looking for a Finance/Accounting Specialist to support the finance team during the group audit process for 2024.

This is a project-based role, ideal for candidates with experience in general accounting (GL/RTR), comfortable working with financial data, reconciling balances, and supporting audit-related tasks.

Please note – this is not a typical audit or consulting role. We are looking for someone with hands-on operational experience in accounting or reporting, ideally with previous cooperation with auditors or experience in preparing data for audits.

Requirements:

  • Experience in general ledger (GL), record-to-report (RTR), reporting roles or similar positions.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in working with auditors or supporting audit processes.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (working with large datasets, using formulas, pivot tables).
  • Good command of English (minimum B2 level) allowing smooth communication in an international environment.
  • Ability to work independently, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Availability to partially work during regular business hours to enable cooperation with internal teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Collecting financial data required for audit from internal finance teams and portfolio companies across Europe.
  • Working with data related to sales, contracts, revenue, banks, payroll, accruals, and vendor & customer balances.
  • Preparing and formatting data into standardized audit templates.
  • Verifying data completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconciling trial balances between local statutory books and group IFRS reporting – identifying and explaining differences.
  • Preparing audit samples requested by auditors.
  • Daily cooperation with internal finance team (based in Kraków), finance business partners in European countries, and accounting teams from portfolio companies (mainly via email & MS Teams).
