Region: Kraków, małopolskie

Requirements:

  • Min. 5 years of photovoltaics industry experience as electrical engineer
  • Working knowledge of PV systems and/or other solar design/layout tools
  • Travel requirement: 30-50%.
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices and procedures
  • Working knowledge of engineering and office software such as MS-Office suite
  • incl. advanced use of MS-Excel and AutoCAD
  • Experience in designing PV systems of medium / large scale, > 50MW preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong customer service skills with focus on listening to the customer
  • Able to work both independently and as a team
  • Mobility: flexibility in working days and travelling

Responsibilities:

  • The main role, as a Design Engineer will be providing designing and engineering support for mounted solar energy installations and particularly
  • Co-working with the technical team, suppliers, as well as contractors and sub-contractors in the development and delivery of competitive cabling solutions for utility-scale solar farms
  • Supporting design and technical colleagues with site surveys 
  • Providing conceptual designs, yield forecasts, feasibility assessments, etc., and support elaborate of related financial forecasts 
  • Providing cost-effective design and engineering solutions and deliver complete design packages for project proposals (including tenders), particularly electrical calculations, surveying, shading analysis, PV system modelling, etc.
  • Elaborating of technical specifications and drawings using AutoCAD
  • Ensuring full compliance with quality and H&S systems
  • Owning all generic technical documents relating to mechanical and electrical design
  • Supporting the specification of components for the procurement process
  • Supporting the commissioning of completed systems and the related testing process
  • Backing technical relationships with contractors & sub-contractors, funders, DSOs, and others
  • Providing quality advice and installation support
  • Ensuring that engineering, procurement, construction, and logistics elements of projects are executed in a manner consistent with the as-sold expectations of company customers
