For Our Client, international company with famous IT brand, creating advanced and modern solutions for external clients helping them to manage IT in their industries, we are currently looking for: Senior Director of Engineering.

Region: Kraków, małopolskie

Qualifications:

  • You successfully managed large R&D teams in distributed environments 
  • You are creative, driven & passionate about technology & building great products 
  • You have a strong leadership & technical foundation 
  • You have BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You have 10+ years of experience designing, developing and shipping commercial software
  • You have proven track record of delivering complex projects
  • You have experience with and a solid understanding of agile software development processes
  • You have the ability to form strong cross-functional partnerships
  • You have strong project management skills and you are able to work under pressure
  • You have the ability to build, lead & scale effective teams in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment 
  • You are driven and constantly seek ways to improve yourself, the team, and its operations

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategic direction for the engineering teams to align with the needs of the business 
  • Direct the work of various product line software engineering teams 
  • Act as a site leader for Krakow office, drive office growth, help establish best practices, methodologies and strategy for Krakow Engineering teams 
  • Contribute to the overall engineering strategy of the company 
  • Supervise, mentor and grow members of the management and engineering team 
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers and technical support to deliver high-quality, technically sound products on schedule with great user experience 
  • Drive all aspects of recruiting including, but not limited to, attracting great talent and retaining a highly skilled, proficient engineering team 
  • Establish and maintain solid software engineering and project management
