Requirements:

• Engineering degree and/or degree in economics, finance
• Knowledge about purchased products (Connection Systems) - is a must
• International team management experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• 8+ years of measurable experience in automotive purchasing in international matrix organizations
• Full proficiency is spoken and written English language

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager who will be leading a Team of professionals responsible for direct procurement for our manufacturing locations in EMEA. You will be able to develop and execute sourcing strategy across supply base under managed categories.

Your role:

• Responsible for all commercial purchasing activities related to Direct Materials for Connection Systems Category
• Lead, manage and develop highly performing team of Purchasing  experts ~10 direct reports
• Develop and execute Category Purchasing Strategy to create competitive advantage for the Business Unit and ensure both, long term business sustainability as well as annual performance objectives
• Ensure alignment of purchasing terms with global strategies and business needs  of the organization
• Build and manage supplier relationships and effective supply chain partnership
• Drive and pull Material Cost Reduction initiatives across all levers and fully utilize purchasing tool box to meet/exceed functional performance targets
• Total spend of >$250M across raw materials, mechanical and electrical/electronic categories for 19 manufacturing locations in EMEA region
• Direct reporting to Lead Category Manager of Supply Chain Management
