Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in project procurement, strategic sourcing or procurement management within a complex technical and international environment.
  • Experience in global project procurement within complex, technical environments, such as EPC, oil & gas or similar industries, will be considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience in developing sourcing and negotiation strategies, conducting commercial and contractual negotiations, and securing competitive business outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier and contract management throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Experience in identifying and managing procurement and supplier-related risks, including handling escalations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships and effectively collaborate with Project Management, Category Management, Commercial, Engineering and other functions.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, combined with analytical skills and the ability to use data and cost analysis to identify opportunities, assess supplier costs and support fact-based decision-making.
  • Good technical understanding or the ability to understand complex technical products and specifications.
  • Experience working in a global organization with an international supplier base.
  • Very good English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with SAP will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving procurement performance during both the sales and project execution phases, ensuring delivery against cost, schedule, quality and risk targets.
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies for assigned projects in cooperation with relevant Category Managers.
  • Leading commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers and securing competitive terms.
  • Ensuring timely placement of purchase orders and execution of project contracts in line with project requirements and schedules.
  • Monitoring procurement KPIs, including cost savings, margin improvement, payment terms and contract coverage.
  • Identifying, assessing and monitoring supplier-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing procurement-related escalations and coordinating corrective actions with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Using procurement data, systems and cost analysis to identify opportunities and manage risks, including should-cost analysis where applicable.
  • Working closely with Category Managers to leverage market, supplier, cost and technical knowledge in sourcing decisions.
  • Ensuring early Procurement involvement in projects and strengthening cross-functional cooperation.
  • Monitoring the project procurement pipeline and providing transparency on activities, priorities, risks and results.
  • Supporting project teams in managing changes that may affect supplier performance, cost, scope or delivery timelines.
