Requirements:

  • Previous Managerial experience in similar role
  • Good understanding of tax, National Insurance, Statutory Maternity & Sick Pay
  • Experience in Year-end completion, including P11D’s
  • Sound understanding of HR processes
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Professional payroll qualification (CIPP/ or equivalent)
  • Foundation Degree in Payroll Management (or studying towards) (CIPP/or equivalent)
  • Experience of using Northgate Resourcelink will be an asset
  • Experience in providing payroll services for third parties will be an asset
  • Experience of using SAP will be an asset
  • System Implementation/design experience will be an asset
  • Experience in processing of expenses will be an asset
  • Fluent English
  • German/French/Spanish/Italian will be an asset


Responsibilities:

The new Employee Services function within Dyson Business Services (DBS) organisation will provide process and service excellence to support Dyson’s growth ambitions with a goal of innovating and enhancing payroll services over time to meet the changing needs of the business.  This new role will be critical in assisting the Global Payroll and Expenses manager to transition the existing payroll team into the DBS in Dyson.

Managing a team of Payroll Specialists, and reporting into the Global Head of Payroll, the Payroll Manager has responsibility for the prompt and accurate payment of salaries to 5000 monthly paid staff within EMEA, as well as ensuring the payment of global expenses.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day to day payroll and expenses function
  • Managing third party relationships for example payroll providers, credit card issuers and outsourced BPO
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to improve the efficiency of the payroll process.
  • Timely & accurate processing and calculation of salaries in-house for employees via Northgate Resourcelink Payroll system for UK employees (C.4500 employees)
  • Maintain timely and accurate payments to employees via banking applications for UK and EMEA
  • Responsible for the management of corporate expenses credit card schemes
  • Processing of statutory payments (SSP/SMP/SAP etc.)
  • Working closely with our partners to provide an effective payroll bureau service to our clients, providing support and guidance in payroll related matters
  • Providing advice to employees in relation to Payroll and Expenses
  • Processing of tax equalisation scheme
  • Assisting in the completion of Year End processes, including P11D’s and PSA’s.
  • Month-end accounting postings and reconciliation
  • To build and maintain strong links with Finance and the wider team
