The ideal candidate for this role must show:

  • 3+ years of professional Web Development experience
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, Python, JSON and REST API
  • Knowledge of Django or Mako or Jinja
  • Experience working with HTML
  • Experience working with Hubl, HubDB or other templating engines on HubSpot will be an asset
  • High communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective time management and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Openness to learning new platforms
  • Personal desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a back-end developer who is passionate about new technologies.  You will be working closely with the marketing, web, product and design team to lead web and product based projects. You will also play a key role in leading their development direction & projects.

  • Developing and implementing back-end web code – writing clean, semantic code at all times
  • Leveraging the HubSpot API and other APIs to build integrations between platforms
  • Developing new website pages
  • Maintaining and improving our websites
  • Developing landing pages, emails, and other reusable templates
  • Working with front-end developers to review and ensure the feasibility of website designs
  • Contributing to the creation of internal libraries, reusable resources, and processes
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the performance of our websites
