Requirements

  • University Degree and/or at least one year’s post qualification experience in a finance role/function
  • Excellent numeracy and high level of attention to detail, alongside ability to work under time pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) & other financial systems (Treasury Management System – desirable)
  • Can demonstrate excellent organisational skills including ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Prior bank reconciliations experience is an advantage


Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily treasury back office processes, ensuring timely settlements of all treasury activity, ensure all deals are confirmed with third parties and ensure the bank reconciliation process is performed accurately and all reconciling items are investigated in a timely manner
  • Management of counterparty SSIs, bank account openings and closures, bank mandates (internal and external), and assisting in the resolution of payment issues
  • Ensure all controls which are in place for payments and bank reconciliations are adhered to and are complete for monthly review by Treasury Back Office Manager within the agreed timelines
  • Assist in key process and automation improvement projects, ensuring robust controls and strong communication with key stakeholders. Assist with Treasury operational implications for internal and external transactions
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the back office functionality of the Treasury Management System (TMS), including administration of the treasury systems for front office trading
  • Provide assistance in system improvements for the current TMS with testing and implementation
  • Day-to-day support will be provided by the Treasury Back Office Manager to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide support to other departments including Treasury Accounting and Treasury Front Office, Group Tax and Group Accounting on key projects where treasury back office support is required
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Treasury Front Office, other head office functions, and the UK and overseas operating companies
